After we bowled a (really long) game we headed to Kayla's favorite restaurant, Red Robin, for dinner. After her "grilled cheese...no...quesadilla...no...grilled cheese...no...quesadilla" the servers sang "Happy Birthday" to her and gave her a hot fudge sundae. It was cute to watch her face as they sang to her and all the attention was on her. She loved it! The highlight of the evening, of course, was getting a pink balloon. Silly girl!
Kayla wanted a Princess Tiana cake this year for her birthday. I thought it turned out really cute.

Kayla has wanted a Buzz Lightyear for almost year. Seriously! Since before last Christmas. Every time she saw Buzz on TV she would mention it. If she saw a picture of Buzz she would recall how she didn't get him for Christmas. Finally, she got her very own Buzz Lightyear. Her excitement is worth all the noise he makes!
This is the gift I have been waiting to give to Kayla for months and months! She is always wanting to take pictures with our camera and loves to look at the pictures. So, she finally got her very own camera. Again, her excitement as she opened the gift was worth every penny I paid for that camera. She figured it all out on her own too- how to turn it on, take pictures, take videos, play the games, etc. My girl is wicked smart!
And of course, her very first bicycle (courtesy of Grandma and Papa)! I feel so bad for her that it is too hot outside to ride her brand new bike. She rides really well - even though she goes a little too fast for my comfort.
HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY KAYLA!!
This miracle baby of our has brought us so much joy! She is so smart and funny and polite and wise beyond her years! She is extremely confident and will succeed at everything she does.

We think she is pretty cute, too! She is definately wiser than her years and so loving towards others. I'll never forget how when she was in the older nursery, she took Logan and all the other littler ones under her wing :)
