Happy Birthday, Alan!

I love to celebrate birthdays - not just my own but other people's birthdays. It's the day you get to celebrate someone's life, a way to say "Hey, I'm glad you were born!" and to make them feel special! Alan isn't the "celebrating" kind of guy but he let me take him out to lunch and bake him a cake - a three-layer white cake with chocolate frosting. The first two layers turned out okay but by the time I added the third layer the cake was starting to lean a little bit. At least it was tasty!
