Novemember 2010 we decided to take the plunge and remodel our house. Little did we know what kind of undertaking it would be. Our little 4-week project actually took 5 months. (We won't even talk about the budget--it hurts too much still!) Although it was a LONG process that we thought would never end it finally did end and we are pleased with the results. If you ask us if we would do it all over again...ask us in a few years!
In the beginning...
Door to new pantry
Alan's new office
These two walls are about to come down (the one right behind the couch and the sliding glass door.)
Tearing up the tile was the worst part of the demolition. It was a two-day job that turned into four days. We couldn't access anything in the kitchen, living room, or family room. Dust was EVERYWHERE.
Even with everything covered in plastic dust still got inside every single cabinet. I had to wash every utensil, plate, cup, pan, etc.
This is the family room with the sectional couch. It totally looked like a Haz-Mat Lab.
The Dust!
And the walls came down...
